Root lift

Root lift is body created at the base of the hair so that it does not lie flat against the scalp. It matters because many Korean-style looks rely on a little lift at the front or crown so the fringe and top have shape. It can come from the cut itself, from drying the roots from above with a dryer, or from an optional perm. A typical example is lifting the front roots before curling the ends of comma hair.
