Perm
A perm is a chemical service that reshapes hair into waves or curls, and it should be done by a licensed professional. It matters because it changes the structure of the hair, so it can weaken hair or irritate skin, and a stylist should ask about your hair history and recommend a patch test where appropriate. Many Korean-style looks need no perm at all, since the cut and blow-drying can give similar shape.
