Hairline

The hairline is the edge along the forehead, temples and nape where hair growth begins. It matters because it decides how a fringe behaves: a high forehead may suit a see-through or side-swept fringe, while a low forehead can feel crowded by a heavy one. Cowlicks and a widow's peak at the front change where hair falls. If a hairline is receding or changing, a dermatologist, not a styling guide, is the right person to ask.
