Cowlick
A cowlick is a section of hair that grows in a different direction from the surrounding hair, often at the front hairline or the crown. It matters because it pushes against the way you style, which is why a fringe may split in the middle or lean to one side. A good stylist reads the growth direction before cutting and cuts with it, or styles it into a deliberate parting. Tell your stylist where yours are.
